Nuwave Oven Review: The Truth Is Here

by admin

Previously we reviewed the Nuwave PIC and now we are looking at its cousin the Nuwave Oven. It does not only promise to be time and energy efficient but it also promises to cook healthier and tastier food. How could a kitchen appliance guarantee that, though? Here you’ll find how it works, what its strengths and weaknesses are, and what users are saying to help you make a well-informed decision.

What Is The Nuwave Oven?

Designed to help you prepare nutritious and delicious gourmet meals in less time, this cooking appliance allows you to cook from frozen without defrosting, broil, roast, barbeque, grill, bake, steam, dehydrate, and even air fry sans all the fats and oil. The Nuwave oven is created to be an all-in-one cooking solution saving you time, money, and energy by cooking quickly and efficiently.

The product has apparently been independently tested and proven to make healthier food by helping you reduce fat intake, reduce cholesterol and lose weight. It is manufactured by Hearthware, a distinguished company that has been creating countertop infrared ovens since 1997.

How Does It Work?

Using its Triple Combo Cooking (TCC) technology, the Nuwave Oven ensures that your food is always delicious, juicy, and cooked evenly, inside and out. The Triple Combo Cooking methods include conduction, convection, and infrared.

Whereas, conduction is the heat directly applied to the food, and convection is the circulated hot air that is evenly distributed for faster cooking and even browning, infrared is a gentle heat permeating inside the food while perfectly cooking from the outside. The process ensures that your dishes are browned to perfection and the juices and flavors are intact.

Compatible Cookware

The good thing about this cooktop is that you do not have to buy special cookware for it to work. Any cooking utensils that you use with conventional ovens can also be used in the Nuwave. Items made of Pyrex, metals, and foils among others are also safe for use in this cooktop. Virtually any cookware that can go into a traditional oven, can be used in the Nuwave.

Features & Benefits

  • Triple Combo Cooking. Not only does it ensure perfectly cooked food but it also cuts off your cooking time as you can cook multiple foods at once.
  • Touch ‘n Go panel. Equipped with digital controls that allows you to adjust power level settings ranging from 1 to 10.
  • Versatile cooking. Allows you the liberty to do various cooking methods all in one cooktop. It is great for broiling, baking, roasting, steaming, dehydrating, barbequing, and air-frying.
  • Collects oils and fats. Designed with a bottom liner pan that collects fats and oils ensuring that your food is always healthier and tastier.
  • Eco friendly. With the triple combo cooking power, the unit allows you to cook using less heat and little to no smoke. Whatever smoke it generates is actually confined to the oven. It typically does not require ventilation. Utilizing 1500 watts of power which is a lot lower compared to traditional ovens, it only uses as little as 15% of the energy as it cooks most foods up to 50% faster.
  • Easy to clean. Clean up is a breeze – except for the power head, all parts are dishwasher safe and very easy to clean.

Drawbacks

  • Sensitive dome. The dome is made of plastic which makes it rather sensitive. To promote its durability, however, remember to wash it right after use and when you place it in the dishwasher, do not use the heated dry cycle. The makers of the Nuwave Oven reasoned out that that they chose heat-resistant plastic for safety reasons as glass can pose greater risks when heated.
